Adult Mission Trips

Many adults in our congregation are compelled to participate in a variety of mission work, particularly through mission trips, both locally and internationally. Our missionaries welcome the participation of our congregation, and they bring us reports of the hope and God moments that they see and experience during their time doing God’s work.

Declare His glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples.
— 1 Chronicles 16:24 NIV

United States

For our adult mission work, we have several opportunities within our own community. Many members ring the bell for the Salvation Army and participate in Thanksgiving food drives for the Lakota Sioux in South Dakota. Multiple members volunteer at Evergreen Christian Outreach, and we also assist in the lunch preparation for the clients of EChO during the summer months. Our ‘pie ladies’ make and sell pies, with the proceeds funding various kinds of mission work. Members of our congregation also participate in the Men’s Prison Ministry and the Thrive Ministry. All for God’s glory.

Belize Mission Trip

Our Missionary, Dr. Kathy Hassell, regularly travels to Belize to serve short-term medical mission trips through the World Gospel Outreach organization. She welcomes any volunteers wishing to travel with her and experience mission work with the grateful people of Belize.

Honduras Mission Trip

We have several adult members who travelled as missionaries to Honduras under the World Gospel Outreach organization. The main focus of these mission trips is to offer medical and dental help, however, we also pour concrete floors and work with the beautiful children, teaching them about Jesus. Everyone spends time in evangelism with the individuals who have received help from the mission team.

Uganda Mission Trip

Some of our adults and youth travelled to Uganda as volunteers with ChristAid Intl. They worked alongside the people there to build a home for a Grandmother who cares and provides for 12 grandchildren. The team also nurtured relationships with the people and observed the many aspects of the work of ChristAid. Several of our adult mission teams have served in Uganda through ChristAid International. Dr. Kathy Hassell, Dr. Marcee Martin, and our Pastor Philip Reimers serve on the staff for ChristAid, driven by their passion for the people of Fort Portal and Kicuna. Through church fundraisers and mission work, we have constructed homes, improved medical care for grandmothers, helped build a school for the children, supported the impoverished and more. Most importantly, our team served while also being a positive influence for Christ in Uganda.
